Who we are, what we believe!

What is "Apostolic"?

We follow the apostles doctrine! (Ephesians 2:20) so therefore we are "Apostolic" or "apostle like", the word "Apostolic" being an adjective!

Some people refer to us as "Pentecostal" because our church started on the day of "Pentecost" (A Jewish holiday/feast) in the book of Acts! The "Acts of the Apostles" is where we learn about the beginning of the early church! Ephesians 2:20 says we are build upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone!  Jesus tells us in John 17:20 that we would believe on Him (Jesus Christ) through their (the apostles) words!

When Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and preached to all those Jews, they asked him what they should do! He told them to repent, be baptized in Jesus name FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, and that they would receive the Holy Ghost! This essentially is the "new birth" that Jesus told Nicodemus about in John 3:3-5.

Our Doctrine!

We are a church that comes from the 2nd chapter of acts, where Peter stood up on the day of Pentecost and preached a one God message to the Jews in Jerusalem!

We believe the plan of salvation is laid out for us in Acts 2:38

- Repentance

- Baptism in Jesus name (for the remission of sins)

- Infilling of the Holy Ghost (evidence by speaking in other tongues (Acts 10:45--48)

Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3-5 that unless you are born again of the water and the Spirit, you cannot see the kingdom of God!

The Word of God

The Word of God is essential! We do not follow modern commentary, but rely on Gods Word for all the answers to our lives! Thousands of years later, the Word of God is STILL relevant in society! It teaches us how to treat one another, how to talk, how to act, how to dress, how to be saved, about a heaven and a hell, and about a wonderful savior who died for us!

The "essentials"

We enjoy discussing the bible and biblical ideas, but there are a few things that are essential!

- The Oneness of the God head (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:19, 1 Timothy 3:16, Ephesians 4:5, Colossians 2:8-10, Galatians 3:20, John 10:30, Revelation 4:2, James 2:19, Zechariah 14:9, John 14:10-11, and many many more!)

- The New Birth (Acts 2:38, John 3:3-5, Acts 8:14-17, Acts 10:43-48, Acts 19:1-6, 1 Peter 3:20-21, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12-13 )

- Holiness and separation (Hebrews 12:14, 2 Corinthians 6:17, Romans 12:2, Titus 2:14, 1 Peter 2:9)

- Reliance on Calvary (Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:1-13)

2 Peter 1:19

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
